Everything he had heard about leaving the City had been that it wasn't possible to leave this way. Try and sail away and you'd end up right back where you started, according to everything that he'd heard. So it shouldn't be possible for them to be here doing this; but he's definitely not going to complain too much. In fact, his only complaint would be that this isn't his beloved Jolly Roger.
